Pu

Hey, So, I have lots of ideas. According to some, Lisa for one, my ideas are really interesting! That is to say, it's interesting that I have so many ideas and that they are so all over the place. Now I will post an idea when I have it when I remember. I think there was one about a detective that wasn't very good and followed "clues" as though they were certain indications. The detective would find that a dog with a mustache was the one stealing from the local store. In fact, it was probably a man with a mustache. My other recent idea of note is for a Pu-er venture adventure. Immortal Xu's Pu-er _______, a store without a front that sends extra special pu-er to members once quarterly.

Chillin with L Mckiernan at SCHAP house

Laura M and I are working hard to motivate ourselves and each other to do the many things that we each consider productive. It's an admirable effort thus far, but I fear that we've not managed to get as much done as we would have liked. Laura set an ambitious goal of finishing all of her chapters of actuary practice problems and finish the presentation on casava. So far she's done some Casava. I'm fairing better, for my two phone calls and short conversation have surpassed my less ambitious goals of having a short conversation. The End.

SCHAP house is a place you can go when you're feeling jaded or you need a hug or a nature's valley granola bar.

Party in Bayelsa

just hanging out. i've got some friends here, so its nice, but i miss a certain someone! anyway, yenagoa is becoming more and more like home. I got to cook some vegetables today, and so for the first time in weeks I actually felt full. rice, peanut butter, even meat couldn't fill me, but veggies did the trick.

apparently me and cory need to have a little shift in mindset from going out and having fun in the field to being executives. pretty cool! in its own way.

I feel like the time for leaving is gone,or that it'll be gone soon. its hard to leave something the more deeply you get involved, and the idea of money is attractive, and i'm valued, and actually the fact that it would take so much effort to leave also makes me want to not leave.

but... also... i don't think i want to leave anyway! its a pretty unique/amazing experience. I do miss friends and family and certain things like gardening and sleeping, but i think i'm learning quite a bit and like being here, and seeing this totally different world.

Heading out

I'm going up to LA to see my sister and hopefully visit with some other friends. Then on the 23rd I go out to AZ to see prof. From there I'll go to CO to continue with levels 3, 4 and 5 of my Qi Gong curriculum, which is gonna be awesome. And I'll ask prof. and Eva (my Qi Gong guide)what I should do with my life, but as of now I'm thinking of heading out to Hawaii to live on an organic farm for a few months. And hopefully visiting Japan on the front, back, or each end of that adventure.

Then what? Hydroponics? Travel through Southern Asia? Find an NGO to work with? I don't know.

I'm readying The China Study right now. Its about nutrition and has a lot to say about the current state of medicine and misinformation that is taught so vehemently in the U.S. today. Good stuff so far.
